What We Believe
Our Vision
To be a vibrant, unified and healthy community of people, consistently growing in Christ, and continually seeking to meet the emotional, spiritual and physical needs of the community in which we live. To see a community thrive in prosperity, joy, and peace, unto the glory of God.
Our Mission
- To love God with all our heart soul and mind. (MT. 22:37)
- To love people with the unconditional love of Christ. (Mt. 22:39)
- To see a community and a people changed, healed, restored and cared for.
- To empower individuals to walk in the fullness of who God created them to be.
Statement of Faith
- We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the revealed will of God (2 Timothy 3:15; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12). We receive the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments as our final and absolute authority.
- We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing and revealed to us as the Father, creator of all things; the Son, Jesus Christ, God incarnate; and the Holy Spirit. All are co-equal and co-eternal (Matthew 28:19; John 1:1,14; Genesis 1:26; Isaiah 9:6).
- We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, death for our sins, bodily resurrection, ascension unto God, and imminent return in power and glory (Luke 1:26; John 3:16; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17).
- We believe that man was created in God’s image. By voluntary transgression he fell. Man’s only hope of redemption is solely through faith in God’s grace as displayed in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ (genesis 1:26-31; Romans 5:12,21; 10:9,10; Ephesians 2:4-9).
- We believe in water baptism as a public declaration that a believer has died with Christ and risen with Him to walk in newness of life (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47,48; Romans 6:4).
- We believe in the celebration of the Lord’s Supper as a remembrance of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection (1 Corinthians 11:24-30).
- We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit:
- By the inward witness of salvation to the believer (Romans 8:16)
- By daily guidance and growth of Christ-like character (1 Corinthians 2:10-12)
- By the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, promised by the Father, according to the command of Jesus Christ, whereby believers are “clothed with power from on high” (Acts 1:8; 2;1-4).
- By the manifestation of the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:8-10)
- We believe in the five ministry gifts that Christ has released into His church at His ascension according to Ephesians 4:8, in order that these five gifts of Ephesians 4:11 are given for the equipping of the saints (Ephesians 4:12-16), releasing them to minister.
- We believe that total restoration is available to every individual through the redemptive work of Christ:
- Spiritual (John 3;3,11; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Romans 10:9,10)
- Mental (2 Timothy 1:7; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 26:3)
- Physical (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24)
- Financial (3 John 1:2; Malachi 3:10,11; Luke 6:38; 2 Corinthians 9:6-10; Deuteronomy 28:1-14).
- Social (Proverbs 3:4; Luke 2:52)
- We believe that each true believer is a part of the body of Christ and His Kingdom:
(Ephesians 1:22; 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23). - God has arranged each of them just as He pleased (1 Corinthians 12:18).
- We have need of each other regardless of denominational affiliation (1 Corinthians 12:12-17).
- Through relationship unity is established, anointing is released, and growth in love is the result (Psalm 13:3; John 17:26; Ephesians 4:16).
- God’s kingdom is established through Christ’s Body here on earth in power as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10; 1 Corinthians 4:20).
- We believe that those who have not accepted Jesus’ redemptive work on their behalf wil suffer eternal separation from the Godhead (John 3:36; Revelation 20:11-15).
- We believe in the blessed hope that Jesus is coming again to gather all His saints unto Himself (1 Corinthians 15:51,52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17; 2 Thessalonians 2:1).
- We believe that following His return Jesus Christ will rule and reign for one thousand years on the earth, after which, there will be a new heaven and a new earth (2 Thessalonians 1:7; Revelation 19:11-16; 20:1-7; 21:1).
- We believe that God’s plan for marriage is given to us in scripture as being the union of one man and one woman, to the exclusion of all others, which produces strong families, thereby strengthening the church, the community and our nation (Genesis 2;24; Mark 10:6-9; Ephesians 5:22-33).
